Since 9/11, a group of concerned citizens, who lost their loved ones in one of the most heinous attacks on humanity  have worked tirelessly to bridge the gaps of cultural misunderstandings and  to spread their message of peace.  As the thirteenth anniversary of September 11, 2001 looms September 11, Families for peaceful Tomorrows bring this conversation, that should constantly be at the forefront of our collective efforts, to our community.    The topics to be discussed are gun violence and Islamophobia.  I am sure you will agree that our indisputable gun violence problem has reached epidemic proportions and is a growing concern in the United States.  Firearm-related homicides claims too many lives, leaves too many grieving and erodes our belief that a peaceful world is possible.  Religious intolerance has been at the root of many misunderstandings and much bloodshed the world over.  The discussion on Islamophobia will be an example of religious tolerance.
